This year the girls were able to participate in the Easter egg hunt. Well, at least they were able to pick eggs up off the grass and put them into their baskets. They love exploring. And there were little treats inside the eggs so that was a lot of fun. Let me see! I found [...] The girls have learned a new skill that will certainly serve them well for the rest of their lives. A couple days ago I was sitting at the computer and the girls were playing behind me. Suddenly they both erupted in a burst of giggles, so naturally I turned around to see what unbelievably adorable [...] The weather here has been beautiful lately, and I finally managed to get the lawns mowed after procrastinating until the grass was nearly knee-high… So what better way to spend a weekend afternoon than letting the girls explore and play in the backyard? Things have finally dried out enough for them to play out there [...] Ever since the hills greened up, Janet and I have been wanting to take the girls out for a hike in their backpacks, so we could all enjoy the beautiful weather. Last weekend finally presented a good opportunity, so we loaded up the girls and headed out for a ~4 mile hike in Brushy Peak Regional [...] We recently had the opportunity to reacquaint Carolyn and Elizabeth with their “Illinois Grandparents” when my dad and Linda spent four days with us over spring break.
